This Privacy Policy describes how GI Executive Transportation LLC ("Global Insight", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information that we obtain through the website giexecutivetransportation.com and any subdomains, mobile experiences, newsletters, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Who we are

Global Insight is an editorial travel publication operated by GI Executive Transportation LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company with registered office at 1600 Miller Trunk Hwy Ste J12A, Duluth, MN 55811, United States. 2. Information we collect

We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Services. The categories of personal information we may collect include:

  • Information you provide directly. Your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and message when you contact the editorial desk, and any information you voluntarily submit in a form on the Services.
  • Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time and duration of visit, and similar log data collected automatically when you access the Services.
  • Cookie and analytics data. As described in our Cookie Policy, we and certain limited third parties may place cookies or similar identifiers on your device to measure aggregate usage of the Services.
  • Communications. The content of email correspondence you send to us, including any personal information you choose to include in that correspondence.

We do not knowingly collect financial information, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive categories of personal data through the Services.

3. How we use information

We use personal information for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • To deliver and administer the Services, including the newsletter you have subscribed to, on the basis of the contract with you or the legitimate interest in operating the publication.
  • To respond to your correspondence and enquiries, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing readers with a responsive editorial desk.
  • To measure aggregate usage of the Services, detect abuse, and improve editorial content, on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the publication.
  • To comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and enforce our Terms of Use, on the basis of compliance with legal obligations.

4. Newsletter

When you subscribe to our newsletter you provide your email address and, optionally, your first name. We store this information with our email service provider and use it solely to send you the newsletter and to record whether individual issues are being opened, in aggregate, so we can judge the quality of our writing. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any issue, and your email will be permanently deleted from our list within thirty days of that request.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. With a small number of vendors that host our infrastructure, deliver our newsletter, or provide aggregate analytics, under contracts that require them to protect the information and use it only to provide the service to us.
  • Legal obligations. If required by applicable law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Global Insight, our readers, or others.
  • Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Policy.

6. International transfers

Global Insight is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure that any such transfer is protected by appropriate legal safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law. Newsletter subscribers' email addresses are retained until unsubscribe. Editorial correspondence is retained for up to three years from the last exchange. Log data and analytics data are retained for up to fourteen months in identifiable form and thereafter only in aggregated form.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively, including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, to whom we have disclosed it, and to request its deletion.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No online service is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 10. Children

The Services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of sixteen. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or applicable law. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes we will provide additional notice, such as by email to newsletter subscribers or a prominent notice on the Services.
