About

Travel content written the way a planner would plan a trip.

Global Insight is an editorial publication about structured travel. We do not chase clicks. We do not publish twenty airport lounge lists a month. We plan itineraries and write the guides that would help someone who paid us to plan for them.

GI stands for Global Insight. Executive Transportation, in our name, does not mean chauffeur or limousine. It is a name from the corporate roots of our parent company that we have kept because it captures the mindset we bring to travel writing. Executive here means organized. Well structured. Easy to follow. Low stress.

We built this publication because we could not find one that read the way we plan. Travel content online is mostly listicles, sponsored recommendations, and endless variations of the same fifteen cities. It is written to be indexed by search engines, not to be useful on a Tuesday morning in Rome when the Vatican queue has already reached the end of the block.

The alternative is quiet. We plan one itinerary at a time, we write it in the order a traveler would actually experience it, and we publish it. If a route needs three days, we do not compress it into one just to have a snappier headline. If a museum is not worth the admission, we say so.

Why structured travel reduces stress

A well planned trip is not a rigid one. It is a trip where the biggest decisions have already been made, so the small ones on the ground can be spontaneous. Which cafe to sit at, which alley to wander down, whether to add a second glass of wine at lunch. Those are the decisions worth having. Deciding on the morning of day two whether to take the RER B or the Roissybus is not.

Our routes remove that second class of decisions. What is left is the good part of travel.

Editorial principles

No paid placements in itineraries. If a hotel or a restaurant appears in one of our routes, it appears because we would go there ourselves and think it fits the day. Some of our writers may accept comped stays for review purposes but this is disclosed in the article, and no comp buys a place in an itinerary.

We source every practical claim, ticket price, transit time, and opening hour from primary sources at the time of writing, and we update articles when reality changes. Our editorial policy is public on this site and it is worth a read.
