Editorial Policy

How Global Insight decides what to publish, and what standards we hold ourselves to.

Global Insight is an editorial travel publication. This Editorial Policy sets out the principles we follow when commissioning, writing, editing, and publishing articles. It also describes how we handle corrections, disclosures, and the boundary between editorial and commercial activity.

1. Independence

Editorial decisions at Global Insight are made by the editorial team without reference to advertisers, sponsors, or commercial partners. We do not accept payment in exchange for inclusion in an itinerary. We do not run advertorial content dressed as editorial content. Where a piece is sponsored or a stay was comped, this is disclosed at the top of the article in plain language.

2. Sourcing

Every practical claim on the Services, from ticket prices to opening hours to transit times, is sourced from the primary operator or from direct verification on the ground by our team at the time of writing. We do not rely on secondary aggregators. When we are unable to verify a claim, we say so, and we omit rather than guess.

3. Fact checking

Long form articles pass through at least two rounds of editorial review before publication. The first checks accuracy against primary sources. The second checks structure, tone, and adherence to this Editorial Policy. Contributor articles are subject to the same review as staff articles.

4. Corrections

When we make an error, we correct it. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date of the correction and a brief description of what changed. Cosmetic changes, such as typographical fixes, are made silently. Readers who identify factual errors are encouraged to contact corrections [at] giexecutivetransportation.com.

5. Disclosures

If a writer received a comped stay, a press trip invitation, or any other form of hospitality from a party mentioned in an article, this is disclosed at the top of the article. If an article contains affiliate links, this is disclosed at the top of the article. If a writer has a personal relationship with a business, a chef, an operator, or any other party mentioned in an article, this is disclosed and, where the relationship is significant, the writer is reassigned.

6. Anonymous sources

Editorial travel writing rarely relies on anonymous sources. Where an article draws on the professional expertise of a chef, operator, or guide who has requested that their identity not be published, we describe them by role rather than name and confirm the basis for the claim through a second source.

7. AI generated content

Global Insight articles are written and edited by human staff and contributors. We may use AI tools for tasks such as translation, grammar checking, or research summarization, but we do not publish AI generated prose as editorial content, and every article carries an accountable human author or editorial byline.

8. Images

We source photography from a mix of staff work, contributor submissions, licensed stock, and Creative Commons material with appropriate attribution. Images that are digitally altered beyond routine tonal adjustment are labeled as such. We do not use generative AI to fabricate photographs of real places.

9. Complaints

If you believe an article has breached this Policy, please contact editors [at] giexecutivetransportation.com. Complaints are logged, reviewed by an editor not involved in the original piece, and answered in writing within fifteen business days.
